Rovinj Declared Champion of Croatian Tourism

On Friday, November 21, in Dubrovnik, the final gala evening of the Days of Croatian Tourism was held, during which the Annual Croatian Tourism Awards were presented — awards for the best in Croatian tourism in 2025. In front of more than 1,300 participants, Rovinj was proclaimed the tourism destination of the year, becoming the new champion of Croatian tourism.
When presenting the tourism champion award to Rovinj’s mayor Emil Nimčević, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković congratulated Rovinj and all the other award recipients, as well as the employees working in the tourism sector.
As part of the traditional awards The Person – The Key to Success: Employee of the Year, the award for best receptionist went to Sanja Mohorović from Rovinj.
The ceremony was attended by many ministers and other high-ranking officials, as well as more than a thousand participants of the DHT event, which this year took place from November 19 to 21 in Valamar’s Lacroma and President hotels in Dubrovnik.
These awards are jointly presented by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Croatian National Tourist Board, and the Croatian Chamber of Economy, across a total of 21 categories.
