Rovinj participated in the project - Croatia naturally yours

The project “Hrvatska prirodno tvoja” – “Croatia naturally yours” is carried out in tourist destinations by planting additional trees with the aim of reducing emissions from tourist visits made by car, and it was launched by the Croatian National Tourist Board.
By the Decision on the allocation of funds to local tourist boards for the purchase of tree seedlings in 2025, and based on the Agreement received from the Croatian National Tourist Board, the Tourist Board of the Town of Rovinj-Rovigno committed to planting at least 10 seedlings with a minimum height of 140 cm.
The tree planting was carried out by Komunalni servis Rovinj-Rovigno d.o.o. on 27 November 2025, as part of the autumn tree-planting campaign. In the park forest on Vijenac braće Lorenzetto Street, six stone pines were planted; three olive trees were planted near the Fra Pavla Pellizzera parking area; and one stone pine was planted on the Karla Luegera promenade. The planting costs were fully covered by the CNTB. All the trees have been marked with the official “Hrvatska prirodno tvoja” – “Croatia naturally yours” labels, and the seedling data have been entered into the MapMyTree planting-monitoring application of the European Environment Agency.
Participation in the project promotes sustainable development and improves quality of life, while Rovinj further strengthens its position as an environmentally responsible destination.
