Maistra’s Veštar Camp has received the award for the safest campsite in Croatia for 2026, granted as part of the TouRisk Awards, the first national recognition focused on safety in tourism.

The TouRisk Awards were presented for the first time in Croatia with the aim of recognizing and rewarding tourism entities that systematically invest in guest safety and risk management. The evaluation is based on a data-driven, multi-layered index that includes standardized questionnaires, relevant publicly available statistics, destination and environment analysis, as well as an additional assessment by an expert jury.

This award confirms Maistra’s continuous investments in guest safety, service quality, and responsible campsite management. “The safety of our guests is always our top priority, and this recognition is further confirmation that our standards and daily operational processes are moving in the right direction. We are proud that Veštar Camp has been recognized as an example of excellence at the national level,” said Mateo Škuflić, Head of Occupational Safety and Fire Protection at Maistra.

We would like to remind that Veštar Camp is the first 5-star campsite in Maistra’s portfolio and has been a member of the prestigious Leading Campings association since 2024, which brings together 45 of Europe’s highest-quality campsites, as well as the EcoCamping organization. The largest number of guests comes from Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, countries that have also awarded the campsite ADAC Superplatz***** and ANWB TOP Erkende***** titles this year.
