Rovinj records its 3 millionth overnight stay

According to data from the eVisitor system, on Friday, 14 August 2026, Rovinj recorded its 3 millionth overnight stay, one day earlier than last year. Since the beginning of the year, the number of overnight stays has increased by 2% compared to the same period last year. The number of arrivals stands at 540,094, which is 3% more than last year.

During this period, the largest number of overnight stays was generated by German guests, accounting for 29% (2% more than in the same period last year), followed by Austrians with 13% (2% less than last year), domestic guests with 6% (2% more), Slovenians with 6% (7% more), and Italians with 6% (11% more).

By type of accommodation, the largest share of overnight stays was recorded in campsites (45%), followed by private accommodation (22%), hotels (20%), and tourist resorts (10%).

There are currently 37,210 registered guests staying in our destination, with the largest numbers coming from Germany, Italy, and Austria.
