Istria Winter Cup
The seventh international football competition of European professional first-division players will be held in Rovinj and Novigrad from January 29th to February 5th 2017. As the most important regional competition played at this time of the year, it will host six football teams and over 200 top athletes. Every year, football teams from Croatia and abroad come to Rovinj and Novigrad to test the readiness and the experience of their players and prepare for the rest of the season. The participants of the 7th Istria Winter Cup are divided into two groups. Group A consists of NK Aluminij, NK Široki Brijeg and Kapfenberger SV, and Group B consists of Gyirmot SE, NK Novigrad and NK GOŠK Gabela. Matches are played every day from 3 p.m. at the Town Stadium in Rovinj or the Laco Stadium in Novigrad. The finals will be held on Sunday, February 5th, with the third place playoff at 11 a.m. in Rovinj and the first place match scheduled for 3 p.m. in Novigrad.
