Rovinj Records Two Million Overnight Stays

According to the eVisitor system, on Friday, 17 July 2026, Rovinj recorded its two millionth overnight stay, two days earlier than in the previous year. Since the beginning of the year, the number of overnight stays has increased by 3% compared to the same period last year. The number of arrivals has also risen by 3%, reaching a total of 402,260.

The highest number of overnight stays during this period was generated by German guests, accounting for 28% of all overnight stays (1% more than in the same period last year), followed by Austrian guests with a 15% share (5% less than last year), domestic guests with an 8% share (at the same level as last year), Slovenian guests with a 7% share (8% more than last year), and Italian guests with a 5% share (14% more than last year).

By accommodation type, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded at campsites (43%), followed by hotels (25%), private accommodation (20%), and tourist resorts (10%).

Currently, 31,538 registered guests are staying in our destination, with the largest numbers coming from Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands.
