Rovinj-Rovigno as Seen by Famous Photographers – the Photo Monograph

The Rovinj-Rovigno Tourist Board, in collaboration with the company Astoria d.o.o., the Event Organizer, has published the Rovinj-Rovigno Photo Monograph – as Seen by Famous Photographers to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the annual event Rovinj Photodays. The Photo Monograph has compiled images of Rovinj captured through the lens of the most famous photographers to have participated in Photodays: Stanko Abadžić, Marcus Doyle, Renco Kosinožić, Romano Decker, Dejan Kutić, Andrea Klarin, Paco Peregrin, Mario Romulić, Dražen Stojčić, Helena Cuculić, Željko Ferenčić, Michele Bujas, Milan Pavlović, Dragan Babović, Davor Žunić, Jozica Krnić, Dalibor Talajić and Thea Akelić. The Photo Monograph is divided into seven chapters. Chapter one contains nine black and white timeless photos by Stanko Abadžić, which are dominated by the sentimental atmosphere of Mediterranean streets. In the second chapter seven landscape and night photos by the renowned British photographer Marcus Doyle are presented, photos which reveal to us a world of unusual ambience where the regular is transformed into the unusual and dreamlike. The third chapter displays nine photos by the famous Istrian photographer Renco Kosinožić. The town of Rovinj had recognized the artist for his work during his lifetime and celebrates him by presenting his works with which he had memorialized and promoted the town. Chapter four is dedicated to fashion, with seven photos by Paco Peregrino, Andrea Klarin, Roman Decker and Dejan Kutić. All of them had found Rovinj to be a perfect setting for their imaginative editorials and fashion shoots. Mario Romulić photos and panoramic views of Rovinj are shown in the fifth chapter. The Photo Monograph holds nine of his photos, taken during the day and in late afternoon and twilight hours. Chapter six presents eleven photos by Dražen Stojčić. His black and white work shows details of Rovinj architecture and streets which draw attention to every interesting motif and feature one shouldn’t miss. The Photo Route, an integral part of the Photodays contest, with the help of which we aim to capture the ambience and the autochthon images of the town and its inhabitants, is found in the last, seventh chapter.
The Photo Monograph has been printed in two versions, each of which in two languages (CRO-IT, EN-GER). The Rovinj-Rovigno Tourist Board will use the Photo Monograph for promotional purposes.
