On Sunday, 13th September, yet another, on this occasion sixth, free bike tour of the Rovinj region took place. The participants had the opportunity to ride their bicycles, accompanied by their guide Massimo Ferrara, all the way from Zlatni Rt Park Forest, Cuvi Bay, and Villas Rubin Tourist Village to the archeological site of Monkodonja-Mušego and Cisterna Bay.

This week’s free tour of the town, which is held each Tuesday, gathered around 60 participants. During the tour, they took a stroll along the old town streets, visited the Museum of the Town of Rovinj-Rovigno, and also found out the most interesting facts about the town’s history. Besides attending the guided tour, the participants also had the fortune to listen to live performances of traditional Rovinj bitinadas and arias de nuoto, by the members of the Giusto Curto Culture and Art Association, at the small square on Casale Street in the old town.

After the tour, the participants got the chance to sample Rovinj wines, olive oils, and cheeses at the Agrorovinj Association. They also got to taste the Istrian supa, prepared on the spot in the former bakery. The visit to the Agrorovinj Association was hosted by its President, Kristian Damijanić, and Member Vesna Marangon. The entire tour program, including the presentations, was conducted in Croatian, Italian, German, and English by licensed tour guides.

Guided tours will continue to take place each Tuesday until 6th October, while bike tours will be organized on Sundays until 11th October.
