Rovinj records 3 million overnight stays

Today Rovinj is the first in Croatia to exceed the 3 million milestone, reaching 3,005.655 overnight stays (+78% compared to 2020, -15% compared to 2019) and 450,930 visits (+ 71% compared to 2020 and -25% compared to 2019) since January. The most overnight visitors from the beginning of the year to date were from (Top 5): Germany (38%), Austria (14%), Croatia (6%), the Netherlands (6%) and Italy (5%). By accommodation type, the most overnight stays were provided in campsites (48%), private properties (21%), hotels (16%) and resorts (9%).  

Currently on a daily basis Rovinj has between 26,000 and 27,000 visitors, which is an increase of 224% over the number of visitors in 2020 and 50% on 2019. Overnights by tourism markets (Top 5): Germany (55%), Austria (18%), the Netherlands (4%), Italy (3%) and Czech Republic (3%). By accommodation type, at the moment most visitors are staying in campsites (54%), private properties (18%), hotels (13%) and u tourist resorts (11%).
