Naomi Watts was filming in Rovinj

From July 4, the town of Rovinj served as one of the shooting locations of the film "Caught in Flight" with Naomi Watts playing the lead role. It is a film depicting an emotional story about the family life and charity work of Princess Diana in the last two years of her life. The film takes place in France, Australia, the UK and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The scenes that take place in France on the Cote d"Azur were filmed in Rovinj. During a six-day shooting period in Rovinj, the movie was filmed at several locations: in Valdibora Bay, near Banjol islet, on the boat anchored between the islet and the mainland, in a coffee bar XL, on the lawn and Gnot promenade at the foot of the Church of St. Euphemia and in the Trg na Lokvi Square and in the hotel Lone.
The film is produced by Ecosse Films from London in co-production with the Croatian company MP-filmska produkcija and directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel, while Stephen Jeffreys wrote the screenplay.
