A Certified Electric Vehicle Charging Station

A certified electric vehicle charging station will be permanently erected in front of the Hotel Lone on the occasion of the International Electric Vehicle Rally – Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2014.

The International Nikola Tesla EV Rally Croatia 2014, first of its kind in this part of Europe, will start on May 27th in Pula. The drivers will drive for five days in five phases and take the route Pula-Poreč-Rovinj-Ičići-Opatija-National park Paklenica-Zadar- National park Krka-Gospić-Smiljan (birthplace of Nikola Tesla)-Plitvička jezera-Zagreb.

The event organizers have explained that the project’s aim was to promote ecological consciousness, energy conservation, sustainable growth, innovations, infrastructure construction and, principally, the certified electric vehicle charging station, as well as to reflect Croatian excellence and excellence in general.

The certified electric vehicle charging station has been especially modified for the Nikola Tesla Rally and improved in accordance with the latest EU standards, and will be built in a permanent location in front of the Hotel Lone just prior to the competition itself. The charging station is one of the so-called “fast-charging” stations with the charge time of 1.5 hours.

The Hotel Lone has, by making the charging station a part of its offer, become one of the promoters of positive processes which aim to reduce air pollutant emissions, develop the infrastructure and strengthen the tourist, technological and energy potential of the Republic of Croatia.
