Croatia is the Most Desirable Destination in the World According to Google

Croatia is the most desirable destination in the world according to the analyses of Google data, reports the Telegraph, a British newspaper, on its web page. The Telegraph asserted this fact in an article entitled "Where the World Wants to Go" featuring photographs of Croatia and stating that "everyone wants to visit Croatia".
The article alleges that the Croatia’s position was proclaimed thanks to an analysis of a web site entitled teflSearch where people from 80 countries expressed their desires in relation to vacation destinations during the past year. The author and editor of Telegraph, Oliver Smith, stated that the largest percentage of searches of world travel destinations referred to Croatia, or 2.71 percent. The next country on the list was Greece with 2.54 percent, Turkey and Thailand with 2.47 percent each, Spain with 1.99 percent, Italy with 1.9 percent, Cuba with 1.85 percent, Portugal with 1.66 percent and Malta with 1.65 percent. He thought it was interesting that the USA, with 1.65 percent (similar to Malta), was the 10th most desirable destination, while France, the most visited country in the world, was not even among the top ten. He also found it intriguing that the top ten were countries (except the USA) that feature hot summers, fantastic beaches and other good vacation criteria, including a good price-quality ratio as one of the more important ones.
