Rovinj records four millionth tourist overnight stay

Today, September 23, Rovinj was the first in Croatia to reach four million overnight stays, almost two months earlier than in 2019 (November 21, 2019). Compared to 2019, from the beginning of the year to the present day, the number of overnight stays has increased by six percent, and compared to the same period in 2021, by 22 percent.

The largest number of overnight stays in that period was made by tourists from Germany (36 percent), Austria (15 percent), Italy (seven percent), Dutch (6 percent) and domestic tourists (five percent).

Most overnight stays were in campsites (46 percent), private accommodation (24 percent), hotels (17 percent) and tourist resorts (10 percent).

Currently, 17,280 guests are staying in our destination, which is 16% more compared to the same day in 2019 and 7% more compared to the same day last year, most of them coming from Germany, Austria and domestic guests.
