20th Exhibition of olive oils of Rovinj region
9th Istrian Supa Festival
Traditional exhibition and tasting of wines and olive oils made by Rovinj producers and presentation and demonstration of Istrian Supa. The exhibition is actually a competition where the best wines of professional winemakers, amateurs winemakers and the best olive oils are graded. Istrian Supa will be prepared on the spot, the best traditional and the best creative one will be awarded. By purchasing a bucaleta for tasting the Istrian supa, visitors receive a commemorative souvenir from the event.
An exhibition of works on the subject of Istrian Supa, wines and olive oils by students from the 1st to 4th grade of the elementary school Juraj Dobrila in Rovinjsko Selo is held in the House of Culture, which can be viewed during the two days of the event. Dolores and Masimo Jenkel from the company "Merania" will demonstrate how a bucaleta is made from lumps of clay, they will show the important stages and secrets in shaping a bucaleta on a potter's wheel, and how the handle and "nose" of a bucaleta are shaped. Visitors will have the opportunity, with their assistance, to try to shape their first bucaleta on the potter's wheel.
