Organum Histriae
Closing concert of the 24th International Organ Festival Organum Histriae
After a long season that started back in June, this year's cycle closes one of the best and longest-standing mixed choirs in Croatia, the Oratory Choir of the Church of St. Marko from Zagreb, "Cantores Sancti Marci" under the direction of maestro conductor Jurica Petar Petrač. The versatile soprano Marija Lešaja will perform with them as a soloist, and in several points, as an accompaniment, they will be joined by the young Croatian organist Josip Leko, who opened this year's Organum in Motovun with a solo recital.
With a carefully selected repertoire and a guaranteed top performance, the performers will give the audience an unforgettable evening of great choral hits, primarily a cappella music, with a special emphasis on Croatian sacred heritage, which is rarely performed in these areas. In addition to "classic Western music", the program also includes numerous surprises such as Eastern Orthodox and black spiritual music.
Do not miss this wonderful event that will surely delight you and offer warmth for the upcoming cold, gloomy autumn days.
