Coming Out Museum Encounters
Pop-up exhibition
Coming Out Museum (COME) will begin its pop-up exhibition tour, which will take place throughout 2025, at the Multimedia Center in Rovinj on Tuesday, February 18th at 6 p.m.
COME was created as a result of cooperation between the Proces association and the Ethnographic Museum of Istria-Museo etnografico dell'Istria, and came to life at the end of 2023 in a virtual space (Come) in which it continues to grow. From the beginning, the COME exhibition was conceived to travel and visit different environments. In this way, the collected stories become available to a wider audience, and the collection itself and future exhibitions open up space for the collection of new objects and experiences.
The exhibition concept is based on the presentation of personal stories and objects as triggers for memories of important coming out experiences.
