Swimming adventure around the Istrian Peninsula: Season 2 > Pula - Savudrija!
The last Adriatic episode of the sports and educational adventure of Domagoj Jakopović Ribafish and the RokOtok Association begins in the early morning of June 22, 2025, with a swim from Pula to Fažana, eight kilometers away, and further to the northwest of Istria with the final point - Savudrija.
In addition to holding 12 workshops and clean-up actions along the eastern coast of Istria and swimming an average of five to six kilometers per day for more than a hundred kilometers from Pula to Savudrija, the goal of this project will be on July 16, 2025 in Umag with a grand welcome and the official end of the two-year swim around Istria. During 18 sections over four weeks of swimming, the boat, crewed by members of the RokOtok Association and friends, and swimmers, will visit the most beautiful beaches of western Istria and hold workshops there with an emphasis on ecology, nature protection and the preservation of our only planet. They will also organize a search for hidden treasures, set up and search for geocaches, and carry out a beach and environmental clean-up action.
The famous Croatian food blogger, host and geography professor in retirement Domagoj Jakopović Ribafish, after the RokOtok project and the connection of all inhabited Croatian islands, will try to do the same with Istria. It is important to emphasize that these are large sections, exclusively for professional swimmers accompanied by a boat, and swimming with children is organized along the beaches where there will be a welcome meeting, namely: Fažana, Barbariga, Rovinj, Vrsar, Funtana, Poreč, Tar / Vabriga, Novigrad, Karigador, Zambratija, Savudrija and Umag on July 16.

The message that the RokOtok people want to send is that both children and adults need more quality socializing and time spent in nature and with nature. Through lectures, workshops and socializing on the beaches, they will try to spend a few hours outdoors playing and having fun with the intention of proving to everyone that everything is better when there is balance and when more time is spent in the fresh air instead of behind screens. RokOtok has received numerous awards, was declared the most beautiful story of the summer of 2019, and there are also valuable awards, including those from the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, Local Hero and the Pride of Croatia. With the Čisteći medvjedići Association, during the cold part of the year, the RokOtok people have carried out hundreds of environmental cleanup actions, and Čikolov, in which people clean nature from a huge amount of non-degradable cigarette butts.
RokOtok residents send a message: "Come hang out, swim and do something nice for a better world around us. We don't have a spare Planet, only our Earth. See you this summer from June 22nd to July 17th on RokPoluotok from Pula to Savudrija!"
