Within the third and the last day of sports manifestation „Popolana“ the third in a row international Rovinj semi-marathon was held, in which sixty competitors from seven European countries participated - Italy, Austria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia.
n total, 21.1 kilometer long marathon had to be completed, and among male competitors, the track was first completed by Đuro Kodžo from Bosnia and Herzegovina, while a Slovene Helena Javornik was the fastest among female competitors.
In addition to semi-marathon, two races were run, a two and a six kilometer race, in which 114 competitors participated. The official results were not recorded in these disciplines, but it was recorded that Ivo Marić, young Croatian triathlon representative was the first one to cross the finish line.
The evening hours were reserved for dance, song and entertainment which were provided by the local band - “Dream project“, which alike the sport events during the day, attracted a large number of visitors to the waterfront and the central town square.
