In the framework of the traditional preparations for the new tourist season, the employees of the Tourist Association of Rovinj and the Skink seed-plot distributed 300 pomegranate seedlings. The seedlings were snatched away in only five minutes leaving many people of Rovinj once again empty handed in spite of the fact that this action has been organized for the past five years, during which time as many as 4,000 pomegranate seedlings were distributed.
As a consolation to them, let us mention that the Tourist Association plans to distribute about three thousand various plant seedlings very soon. Dario Činić, Director of the Tourist Association of Rovinj, expressed his wish to make Rovinj a recognizable city by its horticulture and pomegranate gardens, and agronomist Željko Prgomet announced that already next year young jujube trees would be distributed in addition to pomegranate seedlings.
