In spite of the poor weather conditions and rain, this year’s Grisija – an open-air exhibition of fine arts – brought together a record number of participants to the most beautiful street of Rovinj.
Among about 300 exhibitors registered as participants at the Native Museum of the Town of Rovinj, a commission consisting of Gorka Ostojić Cvajner, Nataša Ivančević, and Sabina Salomon proclaimed the installation of Tomislav Brajnović the most successful work of art at this year’s exhibition. Brajnović won the 1st Prize of the Town of Rovinj worth 7,000 HRK and a prosciutto.
The 2nd Prize was presented to Zdravko Milić, the Native Museum of the Town of Rovinj Prize was awarded to Nikola Ražov, and Dubravka Medak was honoured with the Applied Arts Prize.
Other artists were honoured with prizes from sponsors, among them Radovan Sredić, Iva Gašparić, Bojan Šumonja, Tea Bičić, Josip Barić, Ljiljana Vlačić, Andrija Milovan, and Zvjezdana Margus Prohaska.
This year’s Grisija 2004 has proved once again its status as the most beautiful, most frequented, and most attractive one-day open-air exhibition in the Mediterranean. This street exhibition is organised in Rovinj on the second Sunday in August every year, and Grisija 2004 was the 36th in the row. The stone pavement, steps, shutters, and walls were once again filled with works of art of various artists starting from painters and sculptors, to unique jewelry and useful object makers. The exhibited works of art have made Grisija, the most beautiful street of Rovinj, even more attractive and lively.
