To bring the former hard, but above all beautiful life of the Rovinj fishermen and farmers closer to tourists, the employees of the eco museum ''Batana House'' conceived the evenings at the spacio (tavern).
Once a week, the folks of Rovinj tell their tale with domestic music, fried and cured pilchards and wine, beginning at a small pier where the guests board the batanas (a type of old wooden fishing boat) with lamps, and ending at Matika family's spacio. On the journey, all the passengers aboard the boats and those who visit the spacio are offered seafood and Malvasia, while the members of the folk band Batana are responsible for the musical atmosphere.
The guests seeking authentic aromas, music and programs in their selected summer destination responded well to the Rovinj ethno evenings to be held until the end of August, organized by the Rovinj Tourist Board, in addition to the eco museum and the Town of Rovinj.
