Among recreationalists who did the course of five kilometres, the most successful runner was Rok Puhar from Slovenia, who took seventeen minutes and twenty-nine seconds. It should be pointed out that among recreational runners there were competitors aged from seven to seventy-seven. What’s more, the youngest participant was the one year old Enja Kovačić, taken for a pram ride by her mother i.e. among male competitors, the youngest was the nine year old Matija Mužina. The street race had its share of seniors too. Within the female competition, the eldest participant was the seventy five year old Marija Del Romano, i.e. the sixty one year old Georgio Rappelu among males.
The afternoon part of the day was characterised by the tasty fish stew, prepared by industrious members of the Batana House. That is, twenty kilograms of freshly caught fish at the County championship in underwater fishing ended up in a large cauldron at the quay, instead in the Club. As directed by the chef Sergio Ferarra, and with support of employees of Maistra who prepared the polenta, 450 delicious meals of genuine Rovinj fish stew were cooked and handed out to guests and hosts free of charge.
