At the excellent concert performance by Sergio Preden Gato and the Riccardo Bosazzi Quartet, both the local and the international audience had an opportunity to see who Rovinj people are, what they are like, what their thoughts are and what kind of lyrics they set to music. This free concert was held in Punta Dostro in the background of which boats berthed in the city harbor rock slowly, while the high, thin tower of the Church of St. Euphemia, a silent witness to the past, shows just why Rovinj is the most beautiful city in the world. Thus, a magic blend of an idyllic atmosphere and excellent music was created.
Accompanied by excellent musicians, namely drummer Francesco Salvio, keyboardist Giuseppe Bartoli, bassist Marko Kalčić, and guitarist and songwriter Riccardo Bosazzi, Gato gave a two-hour-long performance. He performed songs by renowned local authors, namely Luigi Zanini and Giusto Curt, set to music by Pietro Soffici, as well as a number of songs of a more recent date composed and written by Riccardo Bosazzi. The great concert atmosphere was enriched by the audience that sang some of the most famous Italian evergreens without reserve, letting out the beautiful voice of Rovinj for everyone to hear.
