It is obvious the last year’s idea by the Tourist Board and the entrepreneur to wish happy holidays in a different, more attractive and above all hospitable manner bore fruit. For days ahead, families and friends, but tourists from the whole Istria as well, had been arranging to meet, keep company and have fun at Rovinj Valdibora. All in all, over 250 plates were served, cut and arranged also by students of the vocational school of Eugen Kumičić, along the employees of the Grota Inn.
Odette Sapač, Director of the Rovinj Tourist Board did not try to hide being pleased with good organisation either, but also with large turn up of people. The holiday breakfast, she thinks, was yet another nice opportunity to thank tourists for coming to the town of St Euphemia, but to recompense locals for good and quality preparations for the tourist season as well. An encouraging piece of information should be pointed out, according to which – in relation to last year’s Easter – the number of tourists increased by 10 per cent. That is, during the holidays, except for the hotel at Katarina, all solid facilities operated, as well as camps Polari, Porton Biondi and Valdaliso. The statistics have it that around seven thousand tourists stayed in Rovinj during the Easter holidays.
