This year’s Summer festival Rovinj was opened by performance of a chamber orchestra from the German city of Frankfurt am Maine

This year’s Summer festival Rovinj was opened by performance of a chamber orchestra from the German city of Frankfurt am Maine. The orchestra was conducted by Ristan Savić, and the audience warmly awarded the soloists with the applause – the violinist Kim Shinkyung, the cellist Nikolaus Trieb and the female soprano Elena Daniela Mazilu. In addition, the Rovinj audience had an opportunity to enjoy in performance of a top quality ensemble of homogenous sound and exceptional sense for orchestra music playing.

The concert evening was held in the church of St. Euphemia, and the mini Istrian tour of the German musicians started by their previous performances in Umag and Poreč.

The Summer festival Rovinj, the conceptual creator and organizer of which is a respectable Croatian female mezzosoprano Katja Markotić, will continue with a series of quality concerts, the first of which will be the performance of the violinist Masatoshi Hirana and Maria Mikulić Štimac at the piano.
