The last evening of the third in a row salsa festival in the town of St. Euphemia was the crown of this excellent dance spectacle organized by the Los Memberos dance group from Zagreb. The first evening was marked by the grand opening of the festival at the Hotel Eden. The second evening will be remembered for hot salsa rhythm on the town promenade and an excellent performance by Cubismo.
The highlights of the last day of the festival were a daytime pool party at the Hotel Istra on St. Andrew's Island and the night dance fever at the Multimedia Center that lasted until the early morning hours.
About six hundred participants in workshops were delighted by the pool spectacle where people with smiling faces, covered in water drops and warmed with the sun created the atmosphere of Havana - the exotic birth town of salsa.
Next to the record number of participants from Italy, Slovenia, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Latvia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Canada, USA, Norway, Belgium, France and Croatia many compliments have been sent to the addresses of about twenty salsa instructors that had come to Rovinj as the Los Memberos dance group from all parts of the world.
All of them agree that Rovinj, thanks to its beauty and the hospitality of its citizens, was an ideal location for the salsa festival, which was well supported by the town of Rovinj, Maistra, as a company engaged in tourism and hotel business, and the Rovinj Tourist Association.
