Cleaning of the coastal area from the Lona Bay to the Rubin Villas Complex
Participants: students, teachers and professors of all Rovinj grade and high schools Traditional cleaning and improving the landscape appearance of the coastal area from the Lona Bay to the Rubin Villas Complex in cooperation with the Utility Service. These activities are part of the Let My Istria Shine (Neka moja Istra blista) and I Love Croatia (Volim Hrvatsku) projects.

This year, the Rovinj Tourist Board once again organized an environmental action to clean the coastal area and the seabed within the “I Love Croatia” and “Let My Istria Shine” actions.
Around three hundred Rovinj primary school students improved the onshore stretch between Lona bay and Villas Rubin tourist resort, with selfless help from the Municipal Service employees. It was obvious the environmental actions undertaken by the Tourist Board during the past two decades had provided results, because every year there is less and less garbage and things that do not belong to nature.
At the same time, members of the Diver Sport Center and Ski Club cleaned waste from the sea. However, around fifteen divers who dove into the deep sea at the town harbor had a far richer catch than the people working onshore – they managed to fish car tires and plastic bottles and cups from the sea...
