Numerous people of Rovinj and their guests had an opportunity to enjoy an entertaining fishermen’s night at the town’s waterfront thanks to performances given by the Marco Garbin Cultural Club and singer Mirko Cetinski.

The entire area gave an impression of old times. Large black and white photos of old Rovinj and fishing nets used to decorate the town’s lanterns particularly contributed to the overall atmosphere. The tourists were attracted by fisherman Beppo Bruni who was, fully immersed in his own thoughts and work, repairing his fishing net in front of a thrilled audience. The image of this particular fisherman repairing his fishing net became a huge attraction and tourists often took pictures with him.

Besides the always-excellent performance by the Batana folk band, the performance by the Marco Garbin Choir directed by Vlado Benussi was well-received as well. The Choir elicited a very appreciative applause from the audience and performed two encores. The successful fishermen’s night was greatly enriched by the performance of Mirko Cetinski, probably the best Croatian bel canto singer. His great performance inspired the audience to dance.

A fishermen’s night without pilchard, calamari and other seafood delicacies wouldn’t be a fishermen’s night at all; therefore, the organizer of this entertaining evening made efforts to secure a rich offer of seafood delicacies and high-quality wines this time as well.
