From May 12th-14th, more than 1,100 elementary school pupils will be competing in eleven sport disciplines for boys – small-sided soccer, basketball, handball, volleyball, table tennis, tennis, riflery, athletics, gymnastics, swimming and chess, and one less discipline for girls, from whose sport list small-sided soccer had been dropped. Coca-Cola secured 600 prizes for the most successful contestants.
Ivan Vavra attended the Game Opening Ceremony on behalf of Ministry of Education and Sport, Mladen Dušman on behalf of Istrian County and Marino Budicin on behalf of the Town of Rovinj. The same occasion also featured the Rovinj Majorettes, Arabesque rhythmic gymnasts, the Town Brass Band, and Dubrovnik gentlemen of Duo domižane.
The contests were held yesterday in many towns of Istria and Primorsko-goranska County. Rovinj hosts the sport competitions in volleyball, riflery, tennis and chess.
