The Town of Rovinj was host to the First super sprint triathlon, part of the Open Croatian Championship. Under beautiful, sunny sky, the triathlon runners had the task to swim four hundred metres in town port, followed by the eight-kilometre bike ride

There were sixty-eight triathlon competitors, coming from Italy, Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia. The most successful one was Martin Papišta from Zagreb, i.e. among the twenty-four women, the fastest and most skilled was Daria Pletikapa, while the second place went to Tea Miloš from Pula, who was the winner among juniors. It should be pointed out the triathlon race, organised by the Rovinj TC Dynamic, attracted a large crowd of spectators and the curious, who spared neither their voices nor their palms to cheer on these truly iron men and women.
