Each tourist season, the terrace of the Italian Community is abundant in various events. The most recent one was the performance of the Monte Sobotino male choir from Gorizia, who delighted the numerous guests at this all-evening concert with their a cappella renditions. They are a male choir established way back in 1959 and conducted by maestro Umbertto Perini.
Each year in early July, these Gorizians present themselves to their fellow townspeople, but they made an exception this year and gave an all-evening concert in Rovinj instead of Gorizia, where they last performed 27 years ago.
The domestic Culture & Art Association Marco Garbin provided a great introduction to a night of beautiful singing by the Italian choir Monte Sobotini, drawing a big applause and sympathies from the audience with a rendition of their legendary «Viecia batane».
