As part of this year’s three-day Kultfest organized for the fourth year in a row, the Rovinj audience had an opportunity to see and listen to Ana Cali and a flamenco band.
The famous Spanish artist, Ana Cali, has been dancing in Montrila, the coast of Granada, since she was 6. At 8, she became a flamenco student under the patronage of Mariquilla, a famous Spanish dancer from Granada.
Alvaro Panos Segao, a representative of the new generation of flamenco artists, performed with her in front of the Rovinj audience.
Their performance was accompanied by guitar music played by Cesar Cubero, and the extraordinary voice of Victor Blaya Quero, a young flamenco singer who started his professional career at 13, performing in various flamenco shows in Gypsy Caves of Sacromonte, such as La Cingara, Los Tarantos, El Corral del Principe and La Venta del Gallo.
A video screen showing tourist materials presenting Spain, a truly great and attractive country, enriched the performance of the two Spanish artists. The Rovinj audience warmly welcomed the famous flamenco dancer and the accompanying flamenco band.
