The concert was opened by the performance of a piece for string trios by Franz Schubert in B major D. 471 (Allegro), followed by the trio works by Max Reger, op.77 b (Sostenuto Allegro, Larghetto, Scherzo, Allegro con moto) and the “String Trio” by Albert Vogl (Begegnung, Verliebt, Im Reich der Sinne, Streit und Versöhnung). Moreover, the rich repertoire of the “Vogl String Trio” contained a performance of works by Ludwig van Beethoven, the Serenade in D major, op.8 (Marcia Andante, Menuetto: Allegretto, Rondo: Allegretto, Tema con Variazioni and Marcia).
The Vogl String Trio was established in Vienna in 2007. Since then, the musicians performed at numerous festivals throughout Europe, such as the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, “Aix en Provence”, Mozart’s Weeks in Salzburg and Prague, or the chamber music festival taking place in Kuhom (Finland). Since the beginning of their career, they have also held the independent event entitled the “Vienna Concert Hall Society” in Mozart’s Hall of the Vienna concert venue.
The concert by the “Vogl String Trio” was organised in cooperation with the Austrian Cultural Forum from Zagreb, and as all other concerts during the festival – it took place under the patronage of the Town, Rovinj Tourist Board and the hotel and catering company Maistra.
