On the isle of Maškin, connected to the Red Island (Crveni otok) by a stone overpass, just off Rovinj, the music and stage manifestation of “Ronald Braus and Guests” took place this year for the eleventh time. It is organised during

This year’s star of the evening was the celebrated singer Zdenka Vučković, who reminded the numerous crowd gathered in front of the mausoleum where the happening was taking place of her evergreen hits such as “Kućica u cvijeću” (the House in Flowers), “Još samo pet minuta” (Five Minutes More), “Gdje su dani ti” (Where Have Those Days Gone), “Zeko i potočić” (the Rabbit and the Creek) and “Tata, kupi mi auto” (Dad, Please Buy Me a Car).
The acting part of the evening was performed by the artist pair from Belgrade – by Vesna Čipčić, accompanied by Zoran Tairović, who did part of excellent “Ženski razgovori” (Female Talk) written according to the text by Duško Radović, i.e. by the actor Duško Modrinić, the popular Roko, who this time presented himself in a less familiar singing role. The audience were also thrilled by the Komedija theatre soloist, Danijela Pintarić, who performed film hits, and music from operettas and musicals, in duet with Ronald Braus, baritone.
This fun evening was spiced up with a bit of French chanson, as brought through the songs of Edith Piaf by Matijaž Puž from Ljubljana, while the fashion show by the young designer Lea Lazarić and her “Sunset Collection” stirred great interest. The choreographer and ballet dancer Dinko Bogdanić also proved his supreme skill. He is known as president of the jury in the exceptionally popular TV show “Zvijezde plešu” as well (The Stars Dance). Just for guests of Rovinj, he especially directed one dancing competition, during which, along other jury members - Drinka Pocrnić Vucelić, the executive director of strategic marketing of the Rovinj Tobacco Factory (TDR) and the Rovinj Mayor, Giovanni Spozna, he did not refrain from his perceptive and caustic comments of competitors’ dancing, as seen on TV.
The evening of entertainment, hosted along Ronald Braus by the Zagreb actress Mia Elegović, ended with a promotion of wine by Istrian producers. The dinner flavoured by truffles was this year as well prepared by industrious chefs of Maistra.
