The picturesque Rovinj hosted the First Croatian Salsa Festival this weekend.
Almost 300 salsa lovers spent the morning diligently learning the beginner and advanced dance steps from 19 top dance instructors. The evening was reserved for the demonstration of the newly learned and well-practiced dance steps at the main town square or at the Park Hotel.
Everyone danced at the town square - the old and the young, the local people and the foreign tourists. The waterfront resembled a rocky boat anchored in a restless harbor. The whole town, lit by the stage reflectors, danced in the rhythm of salsa played inspiringly by the Caiman Verde band for the numerous audience.
