Nina Violić appeared on the open-air scene "Monte", in front of numerous audience, in a performance "Rad Borosane na sebi” (“Work of Borosana on yourself”) that she has both written and performed. It was a very interesting and intriguing performance on the attractive location at the foot of the church Saint Eufemija, and it received thunderous applause from the audience that remained long after the performance to discuss and reflect upon always interesting and familiar topic of meaning and absurdity of human life in today’s consumer society.
"The performance "Rad Borosane na sebi" is imagined as a multi-media monodrama that connects a contemporary and business woman, in this case a drama artist, in questioning of her own possibilities in the external world.
The performance’s leitmotiv results from the fetishism towards legs and feet, as a cruel history whose traces can also be found in contemporary world, as well as harmless and cheerful collection and adoration of shoes. Since the need of performance "Rad Borosane na sebi" comes out from the love towards non-sense, absurdity, healthy and humorous foolishness, therefore the authentic Croatian shoe Borosana has served as choice of the main heroine of our time.
Dramatic-musical-dancing creation of Nine Violić about Borosanas has been voted the best theatrical event in the year 2002.”
