For the seventh year running, the Public Open College of Rovinj has organized «An Evening to Remember Luciano Stuparić», a man who donated more than three thousand books to the Historical Research Center and Town Library «Matija Vlačić Ilirik» while he was still alive.

In his will, he left his entire estate to these two institutions and ordered for his house to be sold, the proceeds of which were also used to acquire new titles.

In the memory of this great, one-of-a-kind donor of books, his friends and other admirers of written word organize his evening once a year, that is, a poetry evening. This year, on the Monte stage, some of the most beautiful verses and poems written by Croatian poets were uttered by Riccardo and Amneris Bosazzi.

Their recital on a warm June evening was followed by applause from all the people present, and occasionally interrupted by performance of the Batana folk ensemble.

Riccardo Bosazzi also told various adventures from the life of the late Luciano Stuparić, the more or less known stories from his career as a judge on the Municipal Court of Rovinj.
