Moderator of the evening and a well known poet who is also the president of the Istrian Writers’ Association, Daniel Načinović, told verses by Luigi Zanini and Antun Šoljan. Young Marija Lucija Forišek provided inspired assistance in the reading, and a true concert atmosphere was provided by the members of “Teranka”, a female harmony-singing group from Pula.

The world of poetry is the world that connects them. Their poems praised rocks, reefs, seagulls, fishermen and the sea, which was a symbol of life and eternal voyage for both of them, Načinović pointed out.
The literary evening dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Šoljan’s death was organized by Pučko Otvoreno Učilište (public teaching establishment).
