All those who were lucky enough to have been in Rovinj on August 26 had a rare opportunity to enjoy a performance by the legendary American band The Earth, Wind and Fire Experience featuring The Al McKay Allstars
On the second day of Rovinj’s Night the programme will be held at two locations and, in addition to the traditional fireworks, visitors will be able to enjoy an extensive range of local food specials.

About The Earth Wind and Fire Experience Featuring The Al McKay Allstars
Built around legendary Earth Wind & Fire guitarist, Al McKay, and a group of top Los Angeles studio and road musicians is the aptly named "Al McKay Allstars”. Performing hit after hit of the super group's material, in the original keys with the original feel, the Al McKay Allstars offer a stunning demonstration of a living, vital performance - with every component of the band upholding the high standard of excellence that established the original Earth Wind and Fire sound.
The vocal section anchored by the incredible vocal talents of Tim Owens - plausibly surpasses the powerful vocal ensemble of most groups. The the Al McKay Allstars may be the only group capable of rendering this music with the original feel and with no smoke and mirrors. And for fans of Earth Wind and Fire and American funk music in general -- the band is a phenomenon absolutely not to be missed. Over the years the LA Allstars, and later the Al McKay Allstars, have featured a who's who of the most influential musicians in R&B and funk. These have included many of the original members of the late 70's/early 80's vintage Earth Wind and Fire.

The legendary American R&B/soul/funk band Earth, Wind & Fire has announced the release of its album “Now, Then & Forever” on September 9. This is their first new album in eight years, and their twentieth studio album.
The album and the new single “My Promise” will be released on Legacy Recordings. This is their first album for this record label.
Their last studio album “Illumination” was released in 2005 and debuted at number 32 on the Billboard Chart. Further details about the new album will be released soon.

A Breath-taking Sky Spectacle with a 62-year Tradition
All those who were lucky enough to have been in Rovinj on August 26 had a rare opportunity to enjoy a performance by the legendary American band The Earth, Wind and Fire Experience featuring The Al McKay Allstars. Their performance and the fact that the band took part in the famous Rovinj Night festivities surprised many. It wasn’t long before people started realizing that this Rovinj Night was, in terms of production and choice of band, in many ways different from those organized during the past sixty-two years of existence of the most famous tourist festival in the Adriatic. By choosing The Earth Wind and Fire Experience featuring The Al McKay Allstars, Rovinj’s event rivaled, in terms of the musical offer for tourists, this summer's musical attractions and concerts performed in Croatia by living legends such as Cohen and Cocker in the Pula Amphitheater or megastar Robbie Williams at the Maksimir Stadium.
Rovinj, its citizens and their numerous guests, who could not believe that they had been treated to such a musical spectacle for free, paid their respects to the legendary band and showed how thrilled they were with what they'd seen and heard by unrelentlessly calling for an encore and patiently waiting to get autographs from their music idols. It should be stressed that the thrill was mutual. Al McKay, writer, composer and the only member of the old band who gathered the new force, repeatedly thanked the organizer, the Tourist Board of the Town of Rovinj, for their welcome, exceptional and kind people, excellent accommodation and food that they tasted during their first visit to Croatia. In turn, the American musicians treated the people and the town of Rovinj, both of which fascinated them, to a mega spectacle performing numerous hits from the 1940s and the long, rich career of the band considered for many reasons the most influential and successful band of the 20th century.
However, it was not only the concert performed by The Earth Wind and Fire Experience featuring The Al McKay Allstars and their hits such as: September, The Best of My Love, Boogie Wonderland or Let's Groove, etc. that this year's Rovinj Night will be remembered for. More precisely, while the American musicians were the stars of the land stage, the traditional fireworks show, the main trademark of the Rovinj Night festivities, fascinated once again the spectators who sighed with delight and cheered loudly. The fireworks above the town port were shot from several locations. Colorful and shimmering firefly fireworks streaked through the sky and for split seconds turned the night into a cheerful and colorful day. Nothing less magical was the equally attractive yet salty, water fireworks show prepared on the very surface of the sea, above the heads of marine creatures, resembling lit, floating lanterns. The program was further enriched by those that Rovinj can always count on as far as entertainment and music are concerned: Party Band, Dream Project and Le Monde featuring the excellent Eva Čiček.
