Under the slogan „With sports from streets and squares to nature and tourism“, a new sports-entertaining manifestation „Popolana“ is being held in Rovinj, organized by Sports Association, Tourist Board, „Maistra“ and Town of Rovinj. The objective of this new three-day manifestation is to extend the tourist season and introduce new, recognizable and different contents for the pre-season, was emphasized by the Director of the Tourist Board, Odete Sapač.
The first day of „Popolana“ was dedicated to children from kindergartens „Neven“ and „Naridola“ and to elementary and high school students.
Accompanied by their kindergarten teachers, the youngest visited the boulder - an artificial rock, and the bravest among them tested their climbing skills. Students of Elementary schools Juraj Dobrilo, Vladimir Nazor and Bernard Benussi were offered attractive games such as catching plastic fish with small nets or racing with fishermen boxes. The older ones, students of Trade High School Eugen Kumičić, Italian High School and Zvane Črnja school were competing in speed racing through the streets of the old town.
