OWNERS OF LUXURY CARS FLOCK TO ROVINJ
Two hundred and fifty Porsches on the Main Square and at the waterfront
Rovinj tourists and locals could just a month ago take delight in the parade of Argentinian polo horses, and could also these days enjoy the three-day festival of world-renowned luxury Porsche cars – at the first ever Porsche Parade Europe 2016. The parade is organized by the Porsche Club Slovenia PKS and the Porsche Club Croatia PCC, and hosted by the hospitality company Maistra and the Tourist Board of Rovinj-Rovigno.
The Porsche parade and the meeting of the owners of these elite cars have attracted to Rovinj over two hundred and fifty cars from all over Europe. The abundance of vehicle plates from Italy, Austria, Finland, Great Britain, Slovenia, and even on a few gorgeous cars from Croatia, was still dominated by German registration plates. As for the cars themselves – what else can we say but that their owners take really good care of them and that it was impossible to choose the most beautiful model. Indeed, the search for “the one” was the only mission impossible at the Porsche parade. Whenever the visitors, sometimes even in larger groups, stopped to take a look at a car, another beauty would come up in the over a kilometer long line. The parade started from the Valdibor parking lot and moved to Omladinska Street and was a true feast for the eyes and the soul. The octanes were also accompanied by the coastal ambiance of the sounds and songs of the folk band “Batana” and the performance by the dance group “Roxanne”.
