St. Andrew’s Island hosted this year for the seventh time in a row the traditional Ronald Braus and Guests summer concert. This year’s special guest, besides soprano Lidija Horvat Dunjko, was Slovene singer Elda Viler.
She reminded the numerous audience of some of her most frequently performed songs from the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s.
Among other songs, the audience had the pleasure to hear the following hits: Val na valu, Uzmeš me v roke, Ti si moja ljubezn, and Zlatni prah, while the performance of Mina’s Parole, parole featuring actor Edvin Liverić was rewarded with a lasting applause.
The star of the hit series Bitange i princeze, Mila Elegović, also thrilled the audience by performing My Funny Valentine, revealing her less known vocal abilities. Ronald Braus was once again a pleasant and loveable host. He sang several songs and performed together with Lidija Horvat Dunjko the Gaspar aria from Donizetti’s Rita.
Special commendations go to Volosko, an a cappella vocal ensemble from Volosko, and to the staff of the Istria Hotel that managed to surpass the beauty and richness of the previous concerts with this year’s settings and culinary delicacies.
This concert, which is traditionally held on Assumption Day, is organized under the sponsorship of the Tourist Association of Rovinj.
