Among a myriad of town events, the Easter concert given by the Rovinj folk band Batana on the main town square, outside the Piazza coffee house, attracted numerous visitors.
The popular Rovinj band entertained local and foreign guests, and even made the bravest among them dance. In addition to the sound and music, the musician attracted guests’ attention by their distinctive dress – sailor T-shirts, caps and red bandannas tied around the waist. Beside the Rovinj songs, Batana traditionally performed Italian, as well as Croatian klapa songs and chansons. The sun shining down on the Easter Monday added to the good atmosphere on the square, thanks to which all the nearby coffee shops, pastry shops and restaurants were packed full.
