On the occasion of the traditional Rovinj Night, a festive reception was held at the terrace of the Adriatic Hotel in the morning hours. The reception was organized in honor of the most loyal visitors of Rovinj who were presented with commemorative awards. The awards which included a red or yellow rose, a bottle of a quality wine, a sculpture of batana (a traditional, flat-bottomed boat), a work by Miroslav Bata Urošević – an academic painter, and a Letter of Gratitude for their repeated visits to the town of St. Euphemia, were presented by Dario Činić, Director of the Tourist Association of Rovinj.
Altogether, 18 individuals and families were presented with awards by the Tourist Association of Rovinj this year. The award-winners are: Adele and John Leger, Stuart Marschall, Freda Coller, Nicole and Christoph Langer, Margrith and Arthur Kurz, Chiara, Vera and Walter Melai, Edoardo Mancinelli, Franca and Riccardo Schillani, Brigitte and Rudiger Steinmetz, Savani Maria Vitalina and Stephano Pesci, Maria Pasquale and Giuseppe Spreggiaro, Laura Puricelli and Adolfo Moroni, Giancarla Arpini and Sergio Fabbiani, Goran Sirovatka, Dagmar and Paul Hegemann, Susanne Perasović, Augustino Bernardi and Prisilla Rayner.
Besides the above-mentioned winners, awards were presented to the best Rovinj street sweepers as well. Four years ago, the Tourist Association of Rovinj introduced this very commendable presentation of awards as part of its most important and tourist-oriented event – the Rovinj Night.
For the fourth year in a row, the first prize for quality work performance and a financial award in the amount of HRK 3,000 went to Marija Vukajlović, an exceptionally diligent Rovinj street sweeper.
The second prize in the amount of HRK 2,000 went to Faketa Aljić. The third prize in the amount of HRK 1,000 was presented to Anđelka Mikić this year.
The prizes in the amount of HRK 1.000 for the best arranged garden and the best arranged balcony in Rovinj went to Gordana Luca and Klaudija Baričević respectively.
