A 36-year-old bassist, band leader, music educator, art director and Grammy winner, Christian McBride has not only developed into a top soloist equally skilled on acoustic and electric basses, but also as a bass player selected by many, including Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Ray Charles, Diane Krall and Sting.
A 36-year-old bassist, band leader, music educator, art director and Grammy winner, Christian McBride has not only developed into a top soloist equally skilled on acoustic and electric basses, but also as a bass player selected by many, including Herbie Hancock, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Ray Charles, Diane Krall and Sting. During his career, he has played with famous jazz musicians such as Quincy Jones, Bobby Watson, McCoy Tyner, Ray Hargrove, Freddie Hubbard, Benny Golson, Pata Metheny... He was a member of the SuperBass trio with Ray Brown and John Clayton, with whom he has recorded two albums.
