Within the organisation of this year’s concert tour by UNICEF, seventy-eight young members of the AJG Bigband from German Münster made Rovinj folk dance, as well as their numerous guests gathered in the central town square.

The young performers, with great deftness and skill, played well known hits from 80s and 90s for almost full two hours, so one could hear them interpret Tina Turner, Nena, Donna Summer, Ricky Martin, the Queen, Duran Duran, and some of the finest film score hits too.

All of this, well packaged and arranged and performed by these talented youths gave Rovinj another pleasant and above all fun night. It should be added the concert by the AJG Bigband was humanitarian, and that the collected funds from listeners’ charity are aimed at the victims of the Haiti quake and for schools in Africa. After Rovinj, the AJG Bigband will hold concerts in Vrsar, Poreč and Pula, i.e. Munich, Villach and Regensburg. Their performance in the town of St Euphemia was organised by the Rovinj Tourist Board.
