Agli Amici Rovinj – First Croatian Restaurant with Two Michelin Stars
27.6.2024
The latest edition of Michelin's Guide for Croatia contained the great news that Croatia has, while keeping the existing ratings, for the first time ever gained a restaurant with two Michelin stars – Agli Amici in Rovinj, owned by the Scarello family. The new Michelin Guide has again confirmed the excellence of Croatian gastronomy. Michelin stars are prestigious, globally most significant and recognizable culinary ratings that are the result of secret visits to Croatian restaurants by expert Michelin inspectors.
Agli Amici Rovinj is led by the Italian chef Emanuele Scarello, and besides a unique culinary experience offers a gorgeous view of the old town and the island of Saint Katarina. It officially opened its doors on 22 June 2021 and received its first Michelin star within three months. The restaurant is situated on the modern and elegant Lungomare Plaza promenade, in ACI Marine Rovinj and near Grand Park Hotel Rovinj.
Besides Agli Amici Rovinj, which from now on boasts two Michelin stars, Dubravkin Put in Zagreb received its first star, while restaurants Pelegrini (Šibenik), 360 (Dubrovnik), Monte (Rovinj), Noel (Zagreb), Boškinac (Novalja), LD Restaurant (Korčula), Nebo (Rijeka), Alfred Keller (Mali Lošinj) and Korak (Jastrebarsko) successfully kept their own Michelin stars.
