Rovinj reaches 3 million overnight stays

Based on the data from the eVisitor system, today, on 19 August 2024, Rovinj reached 3 million overnight stays, two days later than last year. The number of overnight stays recorded from the beginning of the year to this day (YTD) fell by 1% compared to the same period last year. Realised arrivals stand at 522,122, also showing a 1% decrease compared to the year before.
With a share of 30%, which represents a 7% decrease compared to the same period last year, Germans account for the largest number of YTD overnight stays, followed by Austrians with a share of 15%, down by 2%, the Dutch with a share of 6%, up by 4%, Italians with a share of 6%, down by 12%, and domestic guests with a share of 5%, down by 5% compared to the same period last year.
The largest number of YTD overnight stays were recorded in camps, accounting for a share of 45%, which represents a 1% decrease compared to the same period last year, followed by private accommodation with a share of 23%, down by 5%, hotels with a share of 20%, up by 2%, and tourist resorts with a share of 10%, down by 1% compared to the same period last year.
There are currently more than 36,854 visitors in our town, which corresponds to the level recorded last year, mainly coming from Germany, Italy and Austria.
