The first Rovinj Craft Tour, an expertly guided tour intended for all guests who want to learn about the traditional customs, crafts and handicrafts of Rovinj while touring the old town centre, was conducted on Thursday, 29 May 2025. The tour started in front of the Tourist board of the city of Rovinj-Rovigno, at Trg na mostu 2.

During the tour, which lasted around 2 and a half hours, the participants had the opportunity to visit the only shoe repair shop in town, which is located in Zdenac Street, and an authentic Rovinj tavern, Spacio Matika, in Vladimira Švalbe Street, where they participated in a workshop on the preparation of fijoki – a Rovinj specialty dessert. At the House of Batana Eco Museum, the participants had the opportunity to learn more about Rovinj’s fishing and batana boat building traditions, and in the immediate vicinity of the Eco Museum they were introduced to the art of mending fishing nets and making/repairing boats and weaving demijohns and fish traps. At the House of the Rovinj Pelinkovac, they learned all about the production of the famous Rovinj bitter-sweet liqueur, Pelinkovac, and other liqueurs that are produced according to a traditional, century-old recipe.
