Rovinj to Host 100th Session of UNWTO Executive Council

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has chosen Rovinj to host the 100th anniversary session of its Executive Council next spring. This was confirmed at the recent session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization held in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, which was also attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia led by Minister Darko Lorencin. The Minister does not conceal the pleasure and honor he feels about the fact that the world tourism elite will visit Rovinj and have a chance to learn about the cultural and natural values of Croatia. Rovinj will be visited by around 200 participants from countries represented in the Executive Council and other UNWTO representatives. The working part of the session will last two days and the representatives will stay in Croatia four or five days, during which time they will take a tour of Istria as well as visit other Croatian tourist attractions.
